More than 1200 students of a leading South African distance university were recently simultaneously online completing fully decentralised and online assessments in numeracy and financial management developed by the Praxis team.

The risks of online assessment and student syndication were successfully managed through creation of purpose built templates and deployment of random variables within questions to ensure highest levels of integrity in the assessment process all within an open source learning environment. This approach will  going forward add value to student interaction in distance learning.
